New Generation 2 Pump for GasAlertMicro 5 Series Detectors

BWTechnologies by Honeywell is pleased to announce the upcoming release of theGeneration 2 Pump for GasAlertMicro 5 Series gas detectors. The new pump hardwareis designed to provide more consistent, reliable performance and simpler operation. The pumpis scheduled for release on April 20, 2010.

What can you expect on April 20,2010?

• BW will begin shipping initialstock of Generation 2 Pumps against the backlog (replacement pumps and pump-equippedGasAlertMicro 5 Series detectors)
• New orders can start to beplaced
• Backlog fulfillment timelines andlead times for new orders will be available
• Full details on the pumpspecifications and enhancements will be made available

With completely new internal componentsand a visible integrated filter, this hardware change is designed to address dust/wateringress and false alarms. The new design enables operation over a wider temperature rangeand extends sample-tubing lengths.

All instruments shipped as of April20, 2010 will be equipped with the new pump and latest firmware. All previous safety issuesare addressed by the firmware upgrade issued on March 23, 2010 (firmware versions 37, 23c,23i). It remains critical that all existing GasAlertMicro 5 Series instruments in the field,whether operating in diffusion or pump mode, be upgraded to the latest firmware as per theMarch 23, 2010 product safety notice.
